Juneteenth, official name of the federal holiday being observed as a federal holiday on Monday, June 20, Juneteenth National Independence Day, also called Emancipation Day, Freedom Day, Jubilee Day, Black Independence Day, and Juneteenth Independence Day, holiday commemorating the end of slavery in the United States. Juneteenth is celebrated on Sunday, June 19, 2022.

NTEU will join the nation in celebrating this important holiday marking the end of slavery.
